RAW Gasses Up 1 Last Time for the Final Leg to SummerSlam...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

It’s Go-Home week for Summer Slam. Looks like my relocation will take a little longer than anticipated so there’s a good chance I watch it in the old neighborhood. Kinda looking forward to it. Regardless, nothing earthshattering going on in the Wrestling World though parts of Southern California did experience a mild earthquake. Just another day in these parts. Let’s get into what’s circulating.

AEW is contemplating rebranding ROH. It is there’s now so I guess there’s nothing wrong with making it official. However, purists may feel that some history is lost with an official changeover. I tend to be a traditionalist so, I don’t see any real benefit from a rebranding but if Tony Khan wants to do it, so shall it be.

In the WWE Universe, there was some talk floating around about potentially bringing back Brock Lesnar. According to early reports, word was that a return is currently dependent on Lesnar but we all know it comes down more to how people will react.

Though we’re not sure the extent of Lesnar’s involvement in the reported past incidents of human trafficking and possible sexual assault, I would use the cautionary tale of Matt Riddle before trying to reintroduce him. Riddle commented on his sexual assault allegations but as I saw it, it didn’t seem like a sincere explanation. That may be part of why Riddle couldn’t get around the past.

If Lesnar wants to come back, he’ll have to make some sort of genuine statement either reinforcing innocence or stating remorse for poor judgment. Whatever it is, we have to hear an explanation from Lesnar if we’re to allow him to return in good faith. Then he’d be clear to destroy all in his path once again. We’ll see if the day ever comes.

So that, for the most part, brings us to tonight’s RAW. There isn’t that match advertised and the Twitters is falling over itself on Rhea Ripley, but we can basically expect the Ladies to offer up a 6-Woman-Tag as the KCs (Kayden Carter & Katana Chance) take in Lyra Valkyria to take on the new Tough Dame Gang with Shayna Baszler, Sonya Deville and Zoey Stark. Bronson Reed tries to take a bite out of Sheamus. GUNTHER will see if Finn Bálor can sharpen him up for SummerSlam. And Seth Rollins will gather Drew McIntyre and CM Punk around and school ‘em on the rules for their match on Saturday. Word is this segment slaps pretty hard.

Well, we West Coasters will check it out shortly. If you’re not caught up, you’re welcome to join us. The unofficial watch party is at 8pm PDT. Just make sure you look on SyFy. The Olympics got everything all fucked up.

See You in a Bit,
