RAW Starts Prepping for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Getting through another Monday? That’s me for sure. Well, we got a couple things to chat about so shouldn’t be that long of a post but we’ll see where we end up. Ready to get into it? Here we go.

The Saturday Night: Main Event has come and gone and it was pretty standard I would say, like a polished weekly show though some would say it could have been cleaner, especially when it came to Jey Uso. I’ll just chalk that up to him staying in character.  He does seem poised for a Heel Turn.

I would say this show was a clear demonstration of “displaying realism” as none of the matches were stellar but they were hard-fought and do progress the general storylines in play. Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes opened and many took to social media to protest the treatment of McIntyre. When can the guy get a break was the general consensus.

Personally, I feel him swinging and missing again is par for the course. That’s a big part of McIntyre’s character, always a bridesmaid never a bride. He’ll get his due, I don’t think anyone has to worry about that. It’s just a matter of timing. All he has to do for now is stay healthy enough to play.

If the Future manifests as I feel it will, he’s got a part to play in it as well so McIntyre’s fine in my opinion. The online complaints are just an indication of the marks taking the bait if you ask me. Don’t be surprised if he continues to be “his own worst enemy”.

Given the lead up to the match for Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton, you knew the “injury” was going to factor but many couldn’t help but notice that Ludwig Kaiser aka El Grande Americano (II) has seemed to have moved on. As far as I knew, he was dating Stratton but many noticed him holding hands with a lady from the WWE Spanish announce team so, I guess that’s not a thing anymore. Technically, it’s none of our business but you know how people are. I don’t have any comment so I’ll respect their privacy.

As for my Match of Interest, it went more or less as you’d think as Dominik Mysterio pulled out another trick from his sleeve to confuse everyone and get the win. Rusev was playfully out of his mind while Penta (Lucha-Mitsu) did his thing and just “happened to” trip over his own feet trying to serve up some up some of Dom’s medicine. It was a fun go-round so, I wasn’t upset about it.

And for the actual main event, CM Punk finally got his Championship without any interference aside from a little guff coming from Jey Uso. If I'm looking at this right, this was like the movie American Hustle. This show was an exercise in character study. The point was for our players to become more 3-dimensional and give them a chance to embrace “who they are” on the grand stage. It’s good to do if you’re serious about performance. I don’t see why not. Like I’ve said before, this stuff isn’t going to win an Emmy but there’s nothing wrong with paving the way for the possibility someday. One is supposed to start here then go entertain in film and television after so, might as well get some Acting 101 knocked out.

And so, that brings us tonight’s RAW. We should have some fallout but for the most part I think we’re going to gear up for Survivor Series. Not sure how it’s all going to break down as the branding has been a little loose of late. People have been showing up wherever so, I’m not sure what they’re going to do. You’d think the Judgement Day and the Bloodline Juggalos will factor somehow but I’m not sure if people are going to team up and recruit and whatnot. I’m down for that but I’m just being honest about not knowing the plan.

As for this evening, we can expect Lucha-Mitsu taking on El Grande Americano II. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria will continue their mild feud with the Kabuki Warriors. Dragon Lee and AJ Styles will defend their Tag Team Championships for the first time against Finn BΓ‘lor and JD McDonagh of the Judgement Day. The Ladies will offer up more Tag Team action as Nikki Bella and Stephanie Vaquer will take on Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to settle whatever is leftover from last week. And at some point, we’ll hear from our newly anointed Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

I’ll get the replay party started around 6:30pm so, all those used to watching live may get a taste of me arriving late but I’ll start from the beginning. Have a taste and see if you like it. I’ve been doing this a while so, it won’t phase me either way but it’s a more the merrier kind of thing. Enjoy before I return fully to West Coast time.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
