SmackDown Keeps the Pot Simmering for Survivor Series...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Happy Friday! So, there are some grumblings in the Wrestling World but they don’t concern me much. Yet, that doesn’t mean I don’t have some things to talk about. I’ll try to keep it short but I may ramble a bit. Excuse me in advance. Let’s get to it, shall we?

We’ll spend a little time in the Realm of AEW as I had to check in on the progress of the Future. But before we get into that, I saw that Dante Martin was action so, I took a look at how he’s doing.

I called him out as an up-and-coming prospect a while back but then he got that gnarly foot injury and I wasn’t sure how he would recover. Thankfully, it seems he’s back to his high-flying ways but he was in a 6-Man-Tag against the likes of the Young Bucks or rather the Brothers Jackson and some other gentleman. I don’t recall who was on his team.

However, with talent like Martin’s, I couldn’t help but think, “Why isn’t he up against guys like Ricochet or even that Mike ‘Speedball’ Bailey?” One day, PAC should even be a viable opponent. What I’m getting at is, he’s not going to reach full potential up against dudes like the Jackson Bros. I’m not sure if they’re just easing him back in or if they don’t know what they’ve got. The lot he was with aren’t going to take him to the next level.

So, if I were scouting for WWE, I’d keep my eye on that kid. I don’t think he’s 30 yet and I do remember saying that he should cut his teeth with AEW but if they can’t start elevating him, WWE should take him off their hands. He’s got something but we’ll never find out if he’s boxing hacks like the Young Bucks. They’ve gotten a little better but they’re sloppy at best. I think the WWE Performance Center could do him wonders.

As for the Future, it appears to be manifesting nicely. The Riders of Death continue to wreak their havoc but Jon Moxley appears to have found a true rival in Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly isn’t afraid of Mox and is certainly a better technician but is that enough to “bring him down”? It doesn’t really matter. I see that the point is to see if O’Reilly can take it to the next level. We’ll see.

O’Reilly isn’t intimidating and I’m not getting a good sense of his personality so, it may be an uphill battle but he’s good at what he does. I’ll root for him. Yet, when it comes to the Future, it is still early and I doubt Mox will let him get the jump on him a third time. Let’s hope they have fun with this next chapter but expect O’Reilly to get fed some bullshit. It comes with the territory πŸ˜‰

And so, we’ll return to the WWE Universe where we prepare for Survivor Series/WarGames. Both the Ladies and Men had their melees on RAW so we may get a taste of the fallout on tonight’s SmackDown. We can also expect to see Fraxiom continue stewing the beef with DIY. Penta (Lucha-Mitsu) will see if he can best Finn BΓ‘lor for a shot at giving John Cena the final send-off. That should be a good one. And Carmelo Hayes will see if he can get by Bronson Reed to do the same or take the PTO and enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday.

I do have to cook today but I can probably get it done before showtime so you can anticipate me being nice and comfortable by then. We get started on West Coast time on Fridays so I’ll be seeing you at 8pm PST. Same place as always.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
