WrestlePalooza I - RAW Fallout....

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Did you go ahead and get ESPN to watch WrestlePalooza? Well, you didn’t miss much if you didn’t. I have to agree with the general consensus that for all the hype it was a very okay show. No one was surprised that Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky took Match of the Night but everything else well, it was polished for the most part but kinda what WWE does. So, they have to sit with themselves and think about it if they don’t like the response. They do this sort of thing.

I say that because I basically had them read right but just got the matches they’d pull the trigger on the Face(s) wrong. I figured John Cena would be given the win over Brock Lesnar but it looks like they decided to give the W to AJ Lee and CM Punk. I knew if 1 got the win, the other probably wouldn’t and I was right.

And on top of that, it looks like they probably would have gotten a better response if they had gone my way as many were gearing up to cheer Cena on his Retirement Tour. Yet, they opted for the “realistic outcome” as a ripped and intimidating Lesnar left him for dead. We’ll see if WWE gives Cena a chance at some final payback.

However, I understand giving the W to Lee & Punk, they did exactly what they needed to do as well as Lord Seth Rollins and Lady Becky Lynch. They just had fun with it and it was a blast. I thought it was a great time. Yet, it’s looking like a bullshit finish could have worked there too.

That bullshit finish seemed to go to the main event as Drew McIntyre took himself out so that Cody Rhodes could retain. I don’t mind the mentality as that should be McIntyre’s problem for the most part but given all the hype, there should have been more…shock and awe I suppose. The bullshit could have been saved for RAW or SmackDown. Randy Orton or even Sheamus or Rusev should have interfered, pissing McIntyre off and throwing him off his game so Rhodes just had to dance around him a bit until he overplayed and lost. Something like that so McIntyre is steaming and a feud outside of the Championship hunt brews as well.

They had the right idea with Paul Heyman showing his boundaries will always be fluid as he introduced Lesnar for his match. Those were the kind of surprises I was anticipating but alas, that was the only one of that sort.

Yet, on a side note, AEW had its All Out PPV earlier in the day this past Saturday and if I didn’t know better, they’re preparing for the Future. I like what I’m seeing over there. Not that I would have jumped over, that card was really long but I caught that Jon Moxley got set on fire and PAC returned. Was wondering when he was coming back. Things are ramping up nicely but gradually so, no complaints on that front. Cheers! The Future continues to look very Bright πŸ˜‰

And so tonight, we have WrestlePalooza Fallout. WWE Brass has plenty of notes to go over from their ESPN affiliates. In the meantime, we can expect the customary 6-Man Tag Team Match as Penta aka Lucha-Mitsu joins the War Raiders to face the Bad New Day and Grayson Waller. Some version of Bayley will take on Roxanne Perez. Stephanie Vaquer will try on her crown as she settles in to being the Women’s World Champion. And we’ll see if Cody Rhodes stays out of trouble as he enjoys staying the Undisputed Champion.

I should be watching by 7pm PDT, maybe a little earlier but don’t rush. I rarely do for this stuff. Once you’re good and comfortable, go ahead and swing by. I’ll be doing what I do.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
