WrestlePalooza I - SmackDown Fallout...

 How’s It Going, Enthusiasts!

It’s another Happy Friday. How’s everyone doing? Well, it’s something else to be an American right now but there are some little glimmers of hope as we seem to be mostly agreed on preserving the right of Free Speech. So, I guess it’s not all bad.

As for the Wrestling World, there are few things going on. Nothing shocking, just your general rumblings but I’ve got a few things to chat about. Are you up for it? Let’s get started.

So, we’ll take a brief stop in the Realm of AEW as they had their Fallout for their All Out PPV on this week’s Dynamite. I just checked in to get an update on the Future and what I saw simply reminded me of Young Frankenstein. It wasn’t bad but I am teasing a little as many may know, Darby Allin understands that Jon Moxley only understands pain and the “extreme” so he set him on fire for like 3 seconds at All Out. At the end of Dynamite, Allin came out with a flamethrower and kept Moxley and his Riders of Death on the defensive. All I could think of is Peter Boyle swiping and yelling at a torch πŸ˜‰

There is some room to have fun here. Moxley is human. Why couldn’t this give him some mild PTSD? Make him a little skittish around open flames? He’s the type of character where it’s okay to lead him to distraction or self-destruction and so, I’m all for Allin fucking with Mox whenever he can. This could lead to “one-upmanship” which could walk us into the Future as Mox starts to go “too far” but there’s always more than one way to paint a house. However, I never mind sprinkling in some comedy as well so, I hope they have fun with it. The Future remains Bright. Please proceed.

In the WWE Universe, the timeline towards AJ Styles retirement appears to be up for discussion. Word is he wants to finish up before his body starts to let him down so, next year’s WrestleMania may be his last. I just hope they give him like an Intercontinental Title Run between then and now. Styles may not grab everyone’s imagination but he is one of the best to do it and should be honored respectably on his way out.

If John Cena’s Retirement Tour is any example, it may be of what not to do. However, there is room for redemption. I heard that there’s no plan to revisit Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena so, I would have Cena make “his own plans” for payback. I hope WWE goes about “business as usual” and as they’re setting up Lesnar for whomever’s next, it’s Cena who comes through with the, “Naw…I’m not going out like that…” vibe. I’m sure Lesnar could give him another piece and Cena just has to be smart this time around. He won’t “beat” Lesnar but he can get the W. I think that could liven up what has so far been a so-so party. It’s had some moments, but they get overshadowed by the disappointing ones. Let’s see if WWE can do him a solid as well.

And so, that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. We officially conclude WrestlePalooza with its Fallout and we can expect to see B-Fab and Mia Yim finishing what they started with Giulia and Kiana James. Sami Zayn will prove he’s not just gonna sit around with the US Championship. He throws it up to new takers. We have a Ladies’ Triple Threat as Jade Cargill, Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton throwdown for the Women’s Championship. And Cody Rhodes will be on hand to talk more about the problem that is Lord Seth Rollins ahead of their title match at Crown Jewel-Perth.

I don’t have to cook today but I have to take care of some other business. Regardless, I should be able to get comfortable by 8pm PDT. If you don’t have anything going on, feel free to stop by. I try to have fun with it.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
