SmackDown Mixes Business with Pleasure Before the Big Night...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

Happy Friday and Halloween! Well, there still isn’t much going on in the Wrestling World so this should be another short post. Besides, I’m sure many of you have plans so I won’t keep you. Let’s just get to the chat.

So, I checked in on the Realm of AEW to see how the Future was progressing and it appears someone over there agrees with my take on Darby Allin. He was a lot more “forceful” on Dynamite this week. He was taking it to people and using chairs and whatnot to put a dent in ‘em. That’s what I’m talking about ๐Ÿ˜‰ He’s gotta do something to stay afloat out there. I don’t mind him making it clear he means business. To tailor a Shakespeare quote, “Be he but little, he is fierce!”. I’m down.

It also appears that the Road to the Future is also getting paved as The Riders of Death appear to be branching out. I saw that Marina Shafir is set to partner up with the imposing Megan Bayne. With the headdress gear Bayne has been sporting she kinda reminds me of the first form of Ogre of Tekken fame. I think they’re going more for the Carnival thing but Ogre is all that comes to mind for me. I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing. They are clearly trying to make her seem larger than life.

Also, I saw that promo going around of Claudio Castagnoli aka Cesaro kinda framing him like a dapper assassin. He’s still kind of wooden but the presentation worked. All I’m saying is that I see the gears moving and I appreciate it. It’s getting thought about and that’s great. The whole thing is gonna take some planning and definite collaboration so I’m glad people are playing along. It’s inspiring. Let’s just hope nothing too drastic happens to change the course. There’s a lot of time still left on the clock. In the meantime, please carry on.

In the WWE Universe, it’s just prep for tomorrow night’s Saturday Night: Main Event. Apparently, Lord Seth Rollins offered a timeline for his return, but like myself, many aren’t buying it. Well, if you cry “wolf” enough times, people stop listening. We’ll see what the truth is soon enough.

Another who can’t get a hearing is the recovering Kevin Owens. He was photographed with Chris Jericho recently, fueling speculation that Jericho may very will finish out his career with WWE. I’m fine with this. I was hoping one day he’d lead a crossover invasion from AEW during a Survivor Series but it doesn’t look like that’s in the cards anytime soon. Maybe in 5-10 years with whoever is hot at the time but looks like reality scrapped that idea for the time being. That’s okay. I like what’s simmering.

And with that, we’ll just get to tonight’s SmackDown. We’ll see who takes advantage of the timing and dresses up. As for the action, we can expect Carmelo Hayes to ease Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly back into the fray. Alexa Bliss will see if Nia Jax can keep track of the action this time out as they’ll rehash an old feud. Jade Cargill will show us if she’s improved her mic skills any. And Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes will have their Contract Signing for tomorrow night’s Championship Match. We’ll see who starts shit this time around.

Dinner just needs to go into the oven tonight so I should be nice and ready by go-time. It’s tomorrow that may be the challenge. Gonna try my hand at carnitas. Everyone, have a nice safe night out there! I’ll stay inside and do what I do.

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
