RAW Closes the Tour of Mexico...

How’s It Going, Enthusiasts?

 

Welcome to a new week! So, there’s not that much going on in the Wrestling World but there are a few points that grabbed my interest so, we’ll chat a little about that but this shouldn’t go on for too long. Not much going on after all. In any case, let’s get into it.

 

In the Realm of AEW, last week’s Collision had plenty of Riders of Death action. Jon Moxley roughed up a gutsy Mike “Speedball” Bailey. The Dogs borrowed PAC to take out the Bang Bang Gang and Daniel Garcia finally picked up a W in the realm’s Memorial Battle Royale for Andy “The Butcher” Williams.

 

However, what stuck out was the “pep talk” Mox gave Clark “Pantene ProV” Conners. Conners has great hair, so far that’s the most that I’ve noticed of him but he runs with The Dogs and had some questions as to why Gabe “The Hooligan” Kidd is taking orders from Mox. Is he a Dog or a Rider? Well, Mox made it clear it doesn’t matter what he is. People came here to see a show and Conners should stay focused on giving all he can to make sure those hard-earned dollars don’t get wasted on his sorry ass.

 

The delivery certainly validated Kidd’s actions and Conners became a believer as well. The Dogs went on to take out the Gang but Jay White managed to save face since he had Singles action beforehand but was ready to scrap with Mox when Mox and the crew came out to support their allies.

 

If you ask me, I would say we got a small taste of The Future this weekend and I do like what it seems to portend. Shit has to “get nuts” to substantiate what’s to follow and Mox reminded us there’s plenty of “entertaining unsettlement” lying in the cut waiting to bust out! Just needs the right “motivation”. Well, if they do what I think they might, there should be more than enough on hand. I’m looking forward to it ‘cause the Future definitely Looks Bright. Carry on, gentlemen. Just keep the pacing in mind. Once it pops off…that’s kinda it. It will be hard to reign it all back in so, be sure of what you want to do. But remember, get it right and this is SO much fun and game changing to boot. I can’t wait! 😉

 

On the outskirts of the realm, we have some “clarification” coming from Ric Flair. Apparently, he’s still with AEW and it’s all these IWC rumors to blame for the confusion. He is good with Triple H again, though, just not back on the payroll. 🙄 Fair enough.

 

In the WWE Universe, the talk of late has concerned the end of last week’s RAW. Bronson Reed took it upon himself to put a foot on the laid out Oba Femi and Femi proceeded to knock it off of him leading to speculation as to whether this was scripted or not and if not, does that indicate real heat between these 2?

 

Personally, I don’t think it really matters ‘cause it made sense in the context of the action. Reed and The Vision are trying to make a statement that they’re the big, bad stable to beat and they’ll lay waste to anyone who challenges them, top talent included. Seth Rollins had to take a back seat. Roman Reigns lost his shoes. Why wouldn’t Femi get a conquering foot? If there’s a real issue, we shouldn’t hear about it. They need to squash that noise between themselves because as is, the gesture fits.

 

Conversely, Femi is just starting to establish himself and there’s nothing wrong with displaying that he won’t be so easily dismissed. I think this is a whole lot about nothing but as They say, all publicity is good publicity so, at least people are talking. We’ll see if this becomes a talking point on TV. If so, there you have it. Doesn’t matter but it makes good beef. That’s all that matters in the end.

 

And so, that brings us tonight’s RAW. We’re still in Mexico City and the big deal is that Penta (Lucha-Mitsu) will face Roman Reigns for the Heavyweight Title. The question will be how clean this one is gonna be. It shouldn’t get too dirty but Reigns is known for “needing help” so we’ll see if the Bloodline rig the game in his favor but I don’t think it’s necessary but Reigns may have to resort to a good ole fashioned ass-kicking. We all know he can’t hang if they’re wrestling.

 

We can also anticipate more Money in the Bank Qualifying action as Raquel Rodriguez breaks in the newbies in Kehlani Jordan and Lola Vice. Big Cass, Je’Von Evans and Austin Theory will battle for the Men. Chad Gable stands to lose his Intercontinental Championship to Dragon Lee to appease the masses. And Stephnie Vaquer will celebrate regaining the Women’s Championship. She got that done at a House Show in Chile over the weekend.

 

The early starts continue this week and probably the next but after that, we just have to get started so consider yourselves officially warned for real this time. I should be at MITB this year and that will be the end of the trip so I have to get going. Enjoy it while it lasts.
