SmackDown Sees the Finish Line That Is SummerSlam...

Happy Friday, Enthusiasts!

How’s everyone doing? It’s SummerSlam Eve. And the Wrestling World has a few tidbits to gnaw on. Are you up for a quick discussion? Let’s get to it.

So, in the Realm of AEW, there are few rumblings going on. We’ll start mild as there’s a photo circulating of Shane McMahon meeting with Tony Khan. Mercedes MonΓ© claims she took it but that has yet to be confirmed. Could the sired McMahon switch teams. Word is the new management at WWE aren’t really interested in the old Boss’ kid. I’m sure he’s free to attend any event but the need for him is little. AEW could potentially use his “expertise”. We’ll see if anything more comes of it.

In other AEW news, there apparently was some sort of confrontation in the Ladies’ Locker Room. I wasn’t sure if this was serious or not but apparently, Britt Baker has been suspended for an altercation with MJF. From what I could gather, seems like some shit that Baker may have talked got back to him and he went over to the Ladies Locker Room to confront her. I guess the exchange got heated and MJF allegedly ended up punching a wall.

Now, with that information, I’m having slight difficulty coming to the conclusion of suspending Baker unless she said some truly offensive shit that would make anyone punch a wall. There’s supposedly an investigation in the works. We’ll see if we ever get the full story.

In the WWE Universe, word is that The Hardy Boyz talked with WWE about a return of some sort. It’s hard to say if anything will come of it but the idea is that perhaps the Boyz can have one last run in NXT, perhaps winning one of the titles. It’s hard to say how or if that will happen but we hope some sort of compromise is worked out.

The Boyz are back with TNA for the time being but with WWE doing some crossover work, perhaps that’s the path they experiment with first. We’ll see how that all plays out.

And so that brings us to tonight’s SmackDown. It’s in Cleveland as it should be and word is that Roman Reigns is in town. Is that the foreshadowing everyone is waiting for? We shall see. In the meantime, we can prepare for a couple of Tag Team Championships as DIY will see if they can retain against Bloodline representatives in Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. While the Ladies see the Scottish duo in Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre take on Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill for a bunch of marbles. Cody Rhodes will have a showdown with Solo Sikoa and Logan Paul will show up ‘cause you have to assume his parents’ house isn’t too far away.

The unofficial watch party will be at 8pm PDT. I’ll also be posting my Matches of Interest tomorrow afternoon. I’m looking forward to the show. Have no idea what to really expect but I’m hoping to have a good time. I think everyone wins as long as it’s a fun show. So grab some good food and a cold beverage and enjoy!

See You in a Bit,

-Nicole Alexis (^_~)
